Tiny - Prog Rock

June 08, 2011

Time: 8:00am

If there is a theme to the show it’s based around my loose interpretation of progressive rock music, which I feel has been sidelined into a much maligned backwater genre, being too heavily defined by musicality and Tolkien-esque fantasy. My attempts to rescue it back from this netherworld, dust it down and give it a new lease of life are presented in this hour-long show, which highlights that progressive ideas are still prevalent in some of the best new music, as well as pointing out that it wasn’t all about demons and wizards, in it’s pomp and flash 70’s heyday.
